Independence Day Celebrations at Sankara Nethralaya

We, the family of Sankara Nethralaya take great pride & pleasure in saluting our Mother India, on her 60th year of independence.


Glimpse of yesterday’s happenings….


The family of Sankara Nethralaya doubles its happiness by celebrating the 60th year of independence and centenary celebrations of Late Sri. Ki. Va. Jagannathan. The celebrations happened at Jagadguru Kanchi Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Nethra  Nilayam (JKCN campus), 21, Pycrofts Garden Road, Chennai.


The celebrations started at 8.30 A.M , First of which was the  National Flag hoisting  by the chief guest Kavignar  A. Arivoli. Sankara Nethralaya was proud to have the family of Ki.Va. Jagannathan on stage along with the respected chairman, Dr. Lingam Gopal & Kavignar A. Arivoli. Dr, Nivedita Narayanan, Associate consultant took the privilege of welcoming the esteemed members on stage. This was followed by the distribution of mementos & inspiring speeches given by the Tamil Genius A. Arivoli & the family members of Ki.Va.Jagannathan. After which, Awards were given for The Man & Woman of the Year (2), 20 Years of service (7) & 10 years of service (20) & Maximum eye donation pledge award .


The grand function came to an end by the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr Bhaskara Srinivasan, Associate Consultant followed by scrumptious breakfast.
