A Notable Donation For A Valuable Cause!!

Dr. S. Ramakrishnan, MA, PhD, F.A.M.S., Prof & Head, Department of Biochemistry, Vision Research Foundation presented a cheque to Dr. S. S. Badrinath as a contribution towards Vision Research Foundation. He said that the donation was towards setting up of the Research Facility in the new building which is coming up for Advanced Research activities.

Dr. Ramakrishnan said that his was "a humble contribution to Medical and Vision Research Foundation like that of a squirrel in the 'Sethubandana' in Ramayana". (The Ramayana has it that while the bridge was being built connecting India and Lanka, a tiny squirrel carried pebbles to fill in the holes between large boulders.)

Sankara Nethralaya family salutes Dr. Ramakrishnan for his generosity.
