Tamil Nadu Unit of St. John Ambulance

The Tamil Nadu Governor Mr. Surjit Singh Barnala felicitated Dr. S.S. Badrinath - Chairman, Sankara Nethralaya, for his exemplary service rendered over the past twenty-seven years in the area of eye care at the Annual Conference of Representatives of the District and Local Centres of St. John Ambulance of Tamil Nadu on 24th December 2005. The Governor praised Dr. Badrinath for his untiring efforts in the field of medicine and declared that Chennai was brought to limelight through Sankara Nethralaya. The function was graced by Mr. N. Vittal former Central Vigilence Commissioner and the President of Indian Red Cross Society Ms. Sarojini Varadappan.
